There are several phases within any project. Awareness of these phases is useful in defining project milestones and knowing what needs to be accomplished before moving forward. Pixel & Light combines time-tested experience with common sense to manage a project successfully.

The following are the steps involved in typical Pixel & Light project.

Plan for a traditional project

1. Discovery: It is crucial that the we understand the client's vision for the company or product. In this phase, the team sits down for an informal discussion about the project. Here, examples of what the client likes (and dislikes) should be discussed. Additionally, an in-depth review of who the end user is and their goals will determine a course for all work that follows. Animation, where appropriate, may be suggested. Differentiation from other companies in the same market space will be discussed.
   
   
   
2. Research: Pixel & Light gains a thorough understanding of the project by researching your market-space, gaining insight to client's core services, and determining the best methods to present them visually.
   
   
   
3. Design: Properly armed with the tools provided in Steps 1 and 2, the Design Team can quickly develop visual concepts that relate to the client's needs and support the content. Usability is always at the forefront of any design, and multimedia elements will be suggested if it will support the client's end goals. Usually, this process is broken into 2-3 design rounds, and each round is presented to the client for feedback. Often by the third round, a single design approach has been selected, refined, and is ready for production.
   
   
   
4. Production: In this phase we produce the finished product. Interactivity and animations are fleshed out, then strengthened by an ongoing review process with the client. Content is reviewed and optimized for delivery.
   
   
   
5. Testing (Website projects): We perform quality assurance testing to ensure that your site looks consistent on all browsers and operating systems.
   
   
6. Delivery: Upload of the final Website or delivery to your printer.
   
   
7. Support: On-going support is available as long as a client desires it. Updates, adjustments and enhancements are given the same care as the initial project and are executed in a timely manner.
